Banda Kabataan ’83

Banda Kabataan ’83 of Imus, Cavite was founded in December 23, 1983 by Mr. Abdoncito “DASOY” Constantino to provide a home for the young musical talents of Imus to develop their skills in music, and to uplift the musical culture in the town of Imus.

BK ’83 has won Best Concert Band, Best Soloist and Best Majorette at the “BANDA EXTRAVAGANZA ‘94” held at Nayong Pilipino, Best Concert Band at the Cavite Week’s Serenata ng mga Banda 2003. Along with this achievements BK ’83 has also won major prizes in band parade competitions at Bacoor Cavite, Las Piñas City and Muntinlupa City to name a few. In 1998 BK ’83 was featured at the “NIGHT OF MY FAVORITES” along with the UST symphonic Band and the late Mr. Theo Mertens as conductor held at Las Piñas City.

BK ’83 former conductor’s are: Mr. Abdoncito Constantino, Mr. Eric Hayag and Mr. Jerry Samonte. Presently BK ’83 is under the direction of Mr. Arnold Constantino and Mr. Anthony Lacson.

To date, BK ’83 continues to provide and promote the beauty of music not only in the town of Imus but in the province of Cavite and its neighboring provinces.
